“An audience with Bill Gates”
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) organised “An audience with Bill Gates” at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The interview was conducted by the Q & A host Tony Jones and nearly 900 people attended the session. The recorded version was televised nationally where the young audience were actively engaging with Gates.
Gates, a university dropout is the Co-founder of Microsoft Technology. In 2007 , he was the richest person in the world and I believe that he has captured it again this year. Currently Bill and his wife Melinda are philanthropists of the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation tackling third world issues such as polio, aids etc.
Generally the richest people of the world spend most of their time to double their wealth. The Gates’ differ from the norm. They have come out of the corporate world and spending their time and their wealth on the less fortunate of the world which is a hard currency of the today’s world.
It was an interesting interview where Gates talk about his faith, value. He claims that he still do the dishes at home and mowed his lawn for a very long time. It was also notable that he was evading some questions regarding the American tax system.
